Jamie Grace’s unique perspective
Jamie Grace has come a long way since she was discovered through YouTube videos by Christian music veteran TobyMac back in 2010. Her life has always seemed to revolve around music, growing up playing instruments and singing both in church and at home with her older sister, Morgan. She’s only 24, but in that span she has already racked up several big hit songs (You Lead, Hold Me, and Beautiful Day) plus numerous awards and nominations (Grammy’s & Dove Awards).
But don’t be deceived by her youth. Being in front of audiences from a young age has helped her gain a unique perspective on life and relationships. One thing she’s learned is how sharing your personal struggles can heal, not only yourself, but others who may be experiencing the same thing. She’s been open about being diagnosed with Tourette syndrome when she was only 11, and how God has helped her overcome this as a singer.
She now has her Bachelor’s degree in children’s ministry, which she has used to help speak wisdom and love to kids and young adults through her Vlog (video blog) The Jamie Grace Show. Check out one of her recent videos about how to date & still have friends:
And don’t forget, Jamie Grace is our special guest for Washington Adventist University’s Family Fun Festival on Sunday, April 10 from 12-5pm. It’s a free event featuring bounce houses, a petting zoo, a gymnastics show, and much more!
