Community Health Fair at Frederick Church of the Brethren

|Frederick Church of the Brethren is proud to partner with the Asian American Center of Frederick and be the host site for this year's 5th Annual Community Health Fair from 8:00AM to 2:00PM on Saturday, November 17 in the Fellowship Hall. The event was started by a group of volunteers committed to bridging the missing link for area residents who might not otherwise seek health care.
Those attending the free event can register for screenings for glucose, sugar, hepatitis B, body-mass index, cholesterol and glaucoma; and flu shots for up to 600 people will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. As in the past, interpreters will be available in: American Sign Language, Burmese, Chinese, Indian, Thai/Laos, Cambodian, French, Russian, Vietnamese, Korean, and Spanish.
Visitors will be able to talk with more than 30 doctors, including neurology, urology, cardiology, GI, ENT, podiatry, hearing, vision, OB GYN, orthopedics, women's health, mental health, dermatology, pain management and more. Many other community resources such as Frederick County Health department, Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick County Community Action Agency will be there to help and provide information.
To pre-register, download a registration form at www.fcob.net and return it to Kathy Long at FCOB (201 Fairview Ave, Frederick, MD 21701 or Fax: 301-694-9698) prior to Friday, November 16. You may also register on the day of the event.
