Enterprise Community Partners, a nonprofit, community development organization is holding a workshop entitled, Building a Shared Vision, for the faith-based community interested in bringing affordable housing to communities where it is needed in our region. The workshop is open to all faith leaders and members. A luncheon follows the workshop and offers participants an opportunity to engage in peer-to-peer exchange of ideas and experiences. The workshop is program of Enterprise's Faith-Based Development Initiative. The Faith-Based Development Initiative engages and assists the faith community in affordable housing and community development through the provision of training, capital, and expertise, connecting them with the resources needed to realize their development goals.

About the Workshop:
Learn to identify various decision making styles and how to create opportunities for input. How to get to a Win/Win in creating a vision. Learn techniques that will help the body to adopt a development plan that everyone can support. Hear from others about the techniques they used to create their vision.

About the Speakers:
Denice Hinden, PhD, ACC, ELI-MP, president of Managance Consulting & Coaching, challenges nonprofit leaders to re-think the definition of organizational culture. Denice breathes vigor into management and transforms organization performance with provocative strategic, leadership transition planning, and coaching leaders and leadership teams.

Reverend Dr. Leonard L. Hamlin, Sr. is the pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Arlington, Va. Under his leadership, the former Arlington Veterans Memorial YMCA was purchased and transformed into the Macedonia Baptist Church Family Life Center. Working with nonprofit developers, organizations, community and government agencies, the "Macedonian" housing development was completed in May 2011.
