Volunteer Shifts

Serve Breakfast: 6:00am-8:00am

Shelter Upkeep: 10:00am -12:00pm

Special MLK Program: 10:30am - 11:30am

Serve Lunch: 11:30am - 1:30pm

Sandwich Making: 2:00pm - 4:00pm

Board Games with Residents:  2:00pm - 4:00pm

Prayer Walk: 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Serve Dinner: 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Praise & Worship Service: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there parking close by?

Street parking is free for the holiday. There are for-pay parking lots in the area.

Is a Metro stop close by?

Yes--Union Station Metro.  

Can I bring my kids?

No. For the safety and comfort of the residents, please do not bring children under the age of 18 years old.  

Is there a place to store my personal belongings?

No - please only bring items you can keep on your person and still safely serve.

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. You will also receive a WGTS 91.9 Hands and Heart t-shirt to wear.
