We sit in the car, we sit when we work, and we sit when we watch TV. And that’s not good for our health. It’s time to STAND UP!
It might be a good idea to stand up while you make phone calls at work, get up and walk around from time to time because scientists found that people who sat for more than six hours a day were 20% more likely to die during one 14-year study. That’s opposed to people who sat for less than three hours a day.
The reason? Standing burns calories, helps insulin lower the glucose levels in your body, and activates enzymes that remove fat from the bloodstream, and boost your heart health.
