What Do I Do?

WGTS 91.9 has teamed up with Chick-fil-A in an attempt to break the current Guiness World Record for the most number of people dressed as cows in one place. And when you do, we’re asking you bring a non-perishable food item with you to be donated to the National Capital Area Food Bank.

You Can Win!

We’re also looking for the most creative cow costumes. The best costume will get you VIP Tickets to DC Fest this August featuring the Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Matthew West, The Afters, and many more!

PLUS:

  • Mini-moos for the first 500 through the door
  • Chick-fil-A for a year (for 10 people if record is broken)
  • Commemorative ticket and more!

Event Details

Location: Patriot Center (George Mason University–Fairfax, VA)
Date: July 2, 2013
Time: Doors open at 10am with official count to begin at 11am

Costume Requirements: One or two-piece cow suit. Must have head piece or decorated hood. Shoes should match cow costume (black or white). One-piece suits can be obtained from your local Chick-fil-A at minimal cost, or you may decorate your own!

Do you know your kids — and how well do they know you?

Father’s Day is this Sunday–and this week, we’re looking for dads and their kids to square off (ala “Newlywed Game”) to see how well they know each other.

How does it work?

Listen at 7:40a to Jerry & Blanca. Dad & one of his children will call the station (877-948-7919). Dad will go into our “soundproof booth” while we ask the child to answer 3 questions. They will answer the questions the way they think dad would. Then we’ll see if dad can MATCH those answers!

What you win!

Each family who answers correctly will pick up a family four-pack of tickets to DC Fest this August at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA!

For the past 30 years, Shepherd’s Table has provided clothes, meals and services to those in need in Silver Spring, MD.

Shepherd’s Table is a non-profit organization in downtown Silver Spring, supported by volunteers, religious organizations, government, businesses, foundations and individual donors. Our mission is to provide help to people who are homeless or in need by providing basic services, including meals, social services, medical support, clothing, and other assistance in an effective and compassionate manner.

Doorways for Women & Families of Northern Virginia envisions a community where all people live free of violence and have safe and stable housing.

They see a future without homelessness, or domestic violence. And it’s why they create pathways out of domestic violence and homelessness toward safe and stable lives.

Help support children go back to school this fall.
