No toy is worth thisDid you ever have a family picture turn out like this? You were hoping to create a warm family memory, but the kids were groucy, or something spilled on their cute little outfit right b/f your name was called? I was looking through a Christmas photo from two years ago . . . it ended up turning out much like this one, except for one extra little nuance. After emailing the pic out to a lot of family and friends, feedback started coming in pointing out something we hadn’t noticed over the two crying toddlers . . . Santa’s fly was open. Oops. fortunely, he was wearing clothes under his suit, but it certainly is a family photo w/ a story that we won’t forget anytime soon. Sometimes those ‘not so perfect’ pictures turn out to have the best memories behind them and can become among your favorites. As you may go looking for pictures to share w/ loved ones of Chrismases past, you may be reminded of your own unusual pictures and the stories behind them. I hope they bring you and yours some joy this year.

These are my favorite photos. When they try to pose them and stop them from crying I just tell them to go ahead and take the picture. I have one of my daughter trying to get to her daddy arm’s out crying. Instead of them taking the photo I did quickly and let her up. She would talk to Santa as long as daddy was holding her and he wasn’t going to sit on Santa’s lap with her. They are priceless memories I am glad to capture on film.
