meet the personalities
I've been listening to WGTS since it flipped from classical music to Christian music 19 years ago. My wife and I have loved the station from the beginning and I've gotten to know a number of the radio station staff members over the years, including our late General Manager, John Konrad. I've listened to the station change, grow, adapt and prosper. As a 501(c) 3, non-profit, non-commercial radio station, prospering has a whole different meaning than it does for other stations up and down the dial. For this listener-supported radio station, prosperity is the fruit, of the continuing daily mission, of encouraging everyone to take one step closer to Jesus Christ.
For years, I've had this thought it might really be fun to become part of this ministry. In the past couple years, that thought has become a God-inspired conviction. I have spent a lot of time thinking and praying about what God would have me do when my television days are over. And while my television days are not yet over, I do have a clear answer to my prayer. This career and the life it has provided me and my family has been one incredible blessing after another. And after being on radio and television, every day, in Washington for over 32 years, I know...not just believe...that God wants me to use the visibility, the recognition and platform He has provided me to be used exclusively for Him and his kingdom. I just got a little head-start on the plan. And that plan led me right here to WGTS.
I'm honored, excited, thrilled and blessed to be part of the WGTS family. While many other guys my age are thinking about retiring, I'm going the other way. I'm all-in, surrendered to the will of God. Let's see where He leads us.
