Fall for Fairfax Festival
Dates & Times: Saturday, October 1, 2011, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway Fairfax, Virginia
Fall for Fairfax Festival is Northern Virginia’s largest fall festival including more than 100 interactive activities and exhibits and programs focusing on education, sport and fitness, the environment, public safety, and personal health. Fall for Fairfax activities include a train ride, kids climbing wall, pumpkin patch, hayrides, petting zoo, inflatables and dozens of children’s performances. Provides a free shuttle bus service from Vienna metro Station (Orange Line) to the festival grounds every hour beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Location: 10500 Clarksville Pike, Ellicott City, Maryland
Enjoy the petting farm, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, pony rides and storybook characters from the Enchanted Forest.

Taste of Bethesda
Date & Time: October 1, 2011, 11 a.m.-4p.m.
Location: Along Norfolk, Fairmont St. Elmo, Cordell, and Del Ray Avenues in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle.
At the annual Taste of Bethesda, you’ll get to sample food from 60 restaurants and enjoy five stages of live entertainment. You can also visit the kids’ corner for arts & crafts , face painting, and balloons.
