Maybe you got to catch some of Whitney Houston’s funeral on TV this past weekend.  Her death has me thinking a lot about how fragile we can be as humans.  It’s so easy for us to get off “center” when our circumstances fail us.

Today’s thought helped me remember where everlasting peace is found … even in the midst of life’s unexpected storms.

(written as Jesus speaking to you) “Learn to live from your true Center in Me…You will not find lasting peace in the world around you, in circumstances, or in human relationships.  The external world is always in flux—under the curse of death and decay.  But there is a gold min of Peace deep within you… Take time to delve into the reiches of My residing Presence.  I want you to live increasingly from your real Center, where My Love has an eternal grip on you.  I am Christ in you, the hope of Glory.”

About DC has a number of wonderful ideas for Presidents Day. Including events at the Newseum, Lincoln Memorial and Mount Vernon, and a parade on Monday!

*We are products of our past, but we don’t have to be prisoners of it.
*The only thing that is truly yours and no one can take away, is your attitude.
*If you see someone without a smile today, give them one of yours.
*Some plant, some water, but it’s God who gives the increase.
*Never cut what you can untie.
*The most important trip you may take in life is meeting people half way.
