Need to perform CPR? There’s an app for that. Jim Schatzel of Team Life says the app can guide a rescuer through the lifesaving process during the emergency. The seasoned paramedic explains that the app has both audible and visual prompts. That means the person performing CPR can bring up the app and put the phone down while trying to help someone in distress. Schatzel thinks the two-dollar app can help increase the survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest. He emphasizes that it’s best for everyone to take a class to learn the procedure.
