    Best Butterscotch Brownies

Growing up, my mom always made these brownies for tailgating at Georgia football games.  They’ve been a family favorite for years!

    1 1/2 sticks butter
    2 eggs
    2 C plain flour
    2 t baking powder
    1 t salt
    1 t vanilla
    1 C chopped nuts

Melt brown sugar and butter together. Cool.  Add eggs.  Mix flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and nuts together.  Add to other mixture.  Mix well.  Bake in greased 9×13 pan at 350 for 30 minutes.  Yields 25-30 squares.

    Most Addictive Granola EVER!

While recording All That Is Within Me, Producer Brown Bannister’s wife, Debbi, made us some snacks.  One of the many amazing snacks she made us was Granola.  I have NEVER in my life been a granola eater.  I kind of thought that was for people who didn’t shower and lived in tents.  I felt that I was more of a meat and taters kinda guy.  This Granola has forever changed my view of hippies everywhere.  Seriously…i can eat through a pound of this stuff in 30 minutes…which by the way, I don’t recommend.  thanks Bannisters!!!!!

Butter  1 stick, Honey 1 1/4 cup, Oats 4-5 cups, chopped almonds 1 cup, chopped cashews 1 cup, dried fruit of choice 1 cup. spread oats, nuts, and fruit in LG greased broiler pan (or 2) melt butter and honey pour evenly over oat/nut/fruit mixture. bake in oven for 10-15min ‘turn over’ mixture for another 10 min. become a granola addict….mmmmm…..

I was hoping to see the recipes from the chef who cooked dinner for that couple who won. The rice sounded great and so did the salsa. I’d really like to have those recipes if I could.

      Thank You,

      Michele
