I love weddings. I especially love them when all I have to do is show up and eat cake. Of course now that I’m helping to plan my own it’s a much bigger underaking. So it was great to hear so many suggestions this morning on what songs made your wedding day so special. Here’s the list, but feel free to keep them coming. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Imagine Me Without You – Jaci Velasquez

    2. When God Made You – New Song/Natalie Grant

    3. I Will Be Here – Steven Curtis Chapman

    4. Bless The Broken Road – Selah

    5. Praises Be – Lincoln Brewster

    6. Keeper of the Stars – Tracey Byrd

    7. There is Love – Petula Clark

    8. I Could Never Promise You – Don Fransisco

    9. From This Moment On – Shania Twain

    10. If You Could See What I See – Geoff Moore

    1. This great song list, I’m going to start going through some of them with my girl to see what we are going to play at our wedding.

    2. Steve says:

I love “Friends Forever” by Michael W. Smith and “Through the Years” by Kenny Rogers.

    3. Brennan says:

Thanks so much for all the wedding song suggestions. I don’t think I’ll be as brave as Rob and actually sing one to Cassandra :) I did come up with a few more that I’m definitely using next month: Finally I – Duawne Starling, The One He Kept For Me – Maurette Brown-Clark…the jury’s still out on Beautiful Day by U2.

    4. Rob Conway says:

I don’t care if you use my wedding song, Brennan. It was Michael W. Smith & Jim Brickman’s “Love of My Life.” But, if you want to be as daring as me and sing it, that’s up to you!

    5. Debra Orem says:

My daughter had “I will be there” sung at her wedding 5 years ago today. It was very beautiful.
I still tear up when I hear it. She also danced with her father to “Butterfly Kisses”. People at the wedding had to hold me so I wouldn’t cry during it.
Hope you have a beautiful wedding too.

    6. i had Stryper- Honestly at my wedding…GREAT TUNE….

      [Verse 1]
      Honestly, I believe in you
      Do you trust in me
Patiently, I will stand by you
I will stand beside you faithfully

      And through the years
      I will be a friend
      For always and forever

Call on me and I’ll be there for you
I’m a friend who always will be true
And I love you can’t you see
That I can say I love you honestly

      [Chorus 2]
Call on me and I’ll be there for you
I’m a friend who always will be true
And I love you can’t you see
      That I love you honestly
I will never betray your trust in me
And I love you can’t you see
That I can say I love you honestly

    7. Velda says:

Glad to see that you have my wedding song above.. From This Moment on by Shania Twain and good luck with the wedding preparation

    8. Angela says:

Don’t use “Bless the Broken Road” Brennan, that was my wedding song.

    9. Geoff Hooker says:

What about Rebecca St James’s “Wait for Me”? The rest of the album (Transform …I think) is a little too wild for WGTS airplay; this song can be thought of as a love song written before she met/meets her husband.

    10. Marlea says:

I like “I Promise” by: Stacie Orrico as a wedding song!

    11. Ludie Simay says:

A few great songs are: I Promise (Wedding Song) by CeCe Winans, I Prayed for You by Allen & Allen, The One He Kept for Me by Maurette Brown-Clark. Enjoy!

    12. John Kelley says:

Thanks for the “Wedding Songs” list. It will come in quite handy as I have three adult children all in their 20′s and unmarried!! Let me know if you are ever have plans to be in the Frederick MD, or Waynesboro PA (my home town). I’m an Open/A Racquetball player and always enjoy meeting/playing someone new, especially a fellow believer.
